JIMI GILES DAVIS

ROBIN DAVIS

THE ROBIN DAVIS DUO features impeccable dropped D, flat-picking guitar from Pagosa Springs, Colorado native ROBIN DAVIS.

Paired with JIMI GILES DAVIS on the upright bass, the duo melds original tunes, interesting harmonies, and a dynamic energy that only years of playing with one another can mirror.

The duo tours throughout the American West, mainly playing in the Southwestern and Front Range sections of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

In the fall of 2015, they released their first self-titled album The Robin Davis Duo.

They currently reside in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, living in Robin's childhood home on his family ranch, spending their days shredding guitar, watching wildlife, and soaking in world renowned hot springs.

Robin melds throat chanting with  trancy fiddle tunes, and his poetic style of storytelling will drag you on a space car adventure that will dance in your brain for hours.

Davis's past projects included Broke Mountain (2003-2006) where he played mandolin alongside Anders Beck (dobro; Greensky Bluegrass), Travis Book (bass; The Infamous Stringdusters), Jon Stickley (guitar; Jon Stickley Trio), and Andy Thorn (banjo; Leftover Salmon). Davis also played fiddle and mandolin in his Durango, Colorado project Waiting on Trial (2009-2013) alongside Ryan Doty (guitar), Chris Lane (banjo), and Ryan Zernis (bass).

Currently, you may catch the Duo in their latest project Dreem Machine, an electric trio joined with Matthew Cottle on drums. The trio will record their first album in Spring of 2020.
